The past

Before I start writing about my decision to change careers, let us take a look back.

2006

I graduated from college. Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the Philippine School of Business Administration. In short, BSBA at PSBA. It was not what I wanted to do, but it was the cheapest and easiest way to get a degree.
I started teaching Koreans english online afterward.
Before the year ended, I decided to take a new challenge in a different country.

2007

Started a mini-job at a dry cleaner whilst learning a new language.

2008

I landed a job as a repacker at a medicine repackaging company. At some point, I climbed up the career ladder and became an assistant product manager.

I was, by the way, studying Computer Science at the university as well.

2009

Decided to quit studying. Was too hard, add that to the fact that I was not fluently speaking the new language.

2011

Started working as a software tester. This by far has been the coolest, most interesting job, ever. I even got certified. I turned into a test manager after a couple of years.

2016

Took about a year parental leave.

2017

I applied at a different company because the old one was letting go of almost everyone. I had luck that my current company was looking for a software tester at that time. I applied and landed the job.
