It has been 3 months, and I can literally say that I am starting to feel like a designer, not only on paper. But I think there is still room for growth, a lot of room. I know this post is days late, but the kids were sick, so I was on mom-overtime.
So here is the update.
The basics
I still need to take some basic design courses. Although I have read a lot about the elements and principles, I feel like I need an intensive course to cover these areas.
I have also been using XD a lot lately. And still learning new things. Like how it is better to actually create an artboard, and instead of copying the whole thing x times and changing things, a screenshot would make the file smaller. I found out while sharing them to the developers.
UX Design Training
With the little time I have recently, I have not made any progress here. I can actually mark most of them as passed, but I still want to read each point before just closing this trainings list.
UX Design Hands-on
Now this area has been getting much more TL&C lately. And I feel happy about it. This is the reason why I said I feel more like a designer more than ever.
The prototype I have created will be used for the customer feedback sessions that we will have. This is to get some feedback on the ideas we have for some AI projects.
Aside from that, I have also been working on some of the stories we have in the backlog.
Training’s assignment
So we are finally getting things implemented. We wanted to do smaller increments, and I am just so euphoric that this is slowly taking its pace. I wished it would go faster, but this being a side project means that me and the dev guy are actually pretty busy with other stuff.

Yep, you read it right. I have 2 trainings assignments. Remember when I wrote my last update, saying I can’t say no? Well, here you go. This one is a smaller project though. And I think it will be ending in a week. Afterwards, it could be an apenkooi project. But who knows what will happen.
So that was it! I’ll write another update next month, although I think not much will be happening. I will be on vacation for 3 weeks. Maybe I will write a post about that too.
