A year and a half ago, I started writing this blog post. It was about how it was normal to wear masks out in the open in Asian countries, but when in Europe one just garners weird looks and snide comments.
Fast forward to today, and the complete opposite is happening in Europe.
Weeks ago…
While at the doctor’s waiting area, this one lady was wearing her mask just over her mouth. So her nose was uncovered. An older man steps in, reprimands and asks her to do it properly. The lady refused. A heated discussion started, and then the lady got called to the doctor’s office. What could’ve happened if she was not called?
Minutes after this scene, an old lady stepped in the waiting area. She was not wearing her mask. The man immediately reminds her, and she apologizes. She apparently just forgot to pull it back up.
I am totally pro-wearing masks in places required. I have been doing it even before corona though just at home. I understand that it can get uncomfortable, trust me I know the feeling. It can get hot, sometimes even unbearable specially in hot days. They impede breathing. But I am better off being safe and uncomfortable than sick and maybe even dead.
What do you think?
